29th Jiu Jitsu by the Bay

September 29, 2019

Attention all competitors, coaches, parents, and spectators,
We from Team Silva Jiu-Jitsu have been hosting Jiu-Jitsu by the Bay and Bay Area Championships events since 2009 with pride and honor.
We have been serving the Bay Area Jiu-Jitsu community for all these years, and we would like to say thank you to all of you for your understanding and support to our community, and your recognition of our efforts to help everyone reach their ultimate goal: To be a better Jiu-Jitsu competitor!
Unfortunately, we received a call from Hayward Unified School District yesterday, and they informed us that we would not be able to use their facility for our September 29, 2019 event! We were not given a reason, we were simply informed that the facility was no longer available.
So our staff dropped everything and scrambled to find the best solution for our team and our event. With some quick decisions, and a bit of luck, we were able to change our venue from Hayward High School to Alameda High School.
This is the first time this has happened to us, but considering we are very familiar with the venue and we are sure we can run a smooth and awesome competition, ensuring the  safety of our competitors, we are excited to be back at Alameda High School, a newer, state of the art location for our competition. Alameda High School is an amazing facility with a huge free parking area and a great place to watch and compete, as well as being close to a number of shops and restaurants within walking distance. And, it’s only 10 miles away from our original location in Hayward!
All the bracketing will remain the same, we will see you all on Sunday in Alameda at Alameda High School!
